These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Thompson Heating & Cooling ("Thompson," "we," "us," or "our") and our customers ("you," "your") when using our services or visiting our website.

Acceptance of Terms

Service Appointments

  • Appointment times are approximate and may vary based on prior service calls.
  • A responsible adult (18 years or older) must be present during service.
  • We require safe access to all areas where work will be performed.
  • Rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice may incur a fee.
  • Estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified.

Pricing and Payment

  • Pricing is based on standard service calls during regular business hours.
  • Additional charges apply for emergency, after-hours, weekend, and holiday service.
  • Payment is due upon completion of service unless prior arrangements have been made.
  • We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards.
  • Financing options are available subject to credit approval.
  • Returned checks will incur a $35 service fee.

Warranties and Guarantees

  • Labor is warranted for 90 days from the date of service completion.
  • Parts are warranted according to manufacturer specifications.
  • New equipment installations carry their respective manufacturer warranties.
  • Warranty coverage is void if equipment is serviced by unauthorized persons.
  • Warranties do not cover damage from acts of nature, power surges, or customer negligence.
  • Maintenance of equipment per manufacturer guidelines is required to maintain warranty coverage.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about the service issue.
  • Ensure pets are secured during service visits.
  • Clear access to work areas, equipment, and utility connections.
  • Notify us of any potential hazards or special conditions.
  • Maintain equipment according to manufacturer recommendations.

Limitations of Liability

Thompson is not responsible for:

  • Damage to customer property concealed behind walls, under floors, or in ceilings.
  • Pre-existing code violations or hazardous conditions.
  • Consequential damages resulting from equipment failure.
  • Delays caused by unavailability of parts or circumstances beyond our control.
  • Damage caused by acts of nature, power surges, or customer negligence.

Cancellation Policy

  • Service appointments may be canceled with 24 hours notice without penalty.
  • Major installations require 48 hours notice for cancellation or rescheduling.
  • Cancellations with less notice may result in a fee of up to $75.
  • Deposits for custom ordered equipment are non-refundable if the order has been placed.

  • We reserve the right to modify website content without notice.
  • Users may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without permission.
